ABOUT THE ARTIST:
Reinhard Gorner seeks to convey the impact architecture has on our awareness of life. Through his lens the viewer is taken on a journey through palaces and museums, libraries, stables and workplaces all over the world. Gorner’s work opens spaces, tells stories and creates continuity with one’s sense of aesthetics and sense of space. The viewer is invited to enter a realm of calmness, width and equilibrium, and to experience this as a source of creativity and recreation.
Gorner is a self-taught photographer who started to work as an architectural photographer in 1982 and transitioned into fine art photography in 2006. He was born in Leipzig, Saxony, grew up in Southern Bavaria, and now lives and works in Berlin, Germany.
