Framed Matisse Lithograph Poster after "Madame de Pompadour, Pavillon de Marsan, 1951"
$800
Large scale lithographic poster reproduction of Matisse's "Madame de Pompadour, Pavillon de Marsan, 1951" printed by Mourlot in 1995.
Matisse's signature cutout style is beautifully represented in this 1995 reproduction of the poster originally printed by Mourlot in 1951 to honor the year-end ball of the École des Arts Decoratifs in Paris. For Matisse, the use of paper cutouts represented the apotheosis of his work, bringing together drawing, color and sculpture.
