In 1994, to commemorate the 40th anniversary of Matisse's passing, Nouvelles Images in Paris published a limited edition 15-color silkscreen print of this masterpiece, with the approval of Matisse's heirs. The serigraph was printed on Arches vellum 100% rag paper (250g), with 250 unnumbered serigraphs on heavy textured linen paper. The vivid, organic shapes, abstract stars, and flowing lines closely resemble the original cut-outs, evoking the imaginative spirit of the tales from "One Thousand and One Nights."
