Louis Amalvy was a French painter and illustrator known for his skillfull impressionist landscapes. His artistic career began at the National School for Decorative Arts in Paris and his artistry was subsequently influenced by his membership in the French Resistance during WWII. Characterized by his use of vibrant colors and bold brushstrokes, Amalvy's works are imbued with movement and a sense of life.
