This hankie is the work of Tammis Keefe, a unique textile designer during the 1940’s and 1950’s. Her work has shown up in the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Brooklyn Museum, among others. Her designs are known for their bright colors, influences from around the world, and whimsical nature, and were popular in the US after World War II. Through her linens, Keefe aimed to bring a playful and beautiful energy to everyday life.
